several weeks ago M83 partnered with Genero and announced a video contest for the group’s hit single Steve McQueen. following a crowd of submissions, French directors Sylvain Derosne and Balthaza Auxietre came out on top. the duo created a piece highlighting a young dapper’s fixation towards science and finds himself in the mix of stop-motion animals while creating a ‘rainmaker.’ unusual pairings, but all works out somehow.
